Useful For

Urinalysis is used to assist in the diagnosis of kidney function, urinary tract infections, carbohydrate metabolism, and liver function. The microscopic examination of the centrifuged urine sediment includes the study of formed elements, such as WBC’s, RBC’s, casts, and crystals. These may be read by visual or instrumental methods.
