  • Ortho reports the following biases:
    • Bilirubin at 20 mg/dL can cause a 18 units/L bias
    • Methotrexate at 200 µg/mL can cause a 29.0 units/L bias
    • Nitrofurantoin at 40 µg/mL can cause a 24.0 units/L bias
  • Ortho reports no significant effect with the following:
    • Lipemia up to 800 mg/dL
  • The following interpretive data is visible to the practitioner:
    • Nitrofurantoin at blood level of 40 ug/ml (which is extremely high) creates a positive bias of 20% at level of 120 Units/L. Methotrexate at blood level 200 ug/ml creates a positive bias of 22% at level of 130 Units/L
